Sort it aaaahhhhhht Moyes you casaaaant

Yep. Should help.

To be honest if players and management can’t handle West Ham fan’s expectations they really shouldn’t be professional sports people.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
I agree as would affect us less than every other team as we're so far from the pitch.

First I've read because of that the players can hide because they can't hear individual comments when they're not putting in a shift, now it's that which stops them.

Utter bollocks

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
What a load of bollocks,

No crowds at Anfield = bad for the home team

No crowds at Stratford = good for the home team.

It’s like that made up shit about selling players to Arsenal — just because we’ve never done it, there must be an invisible reason, if only we were al clever enough to see it.

Liverpool have three central defenders injured, and their keepers have been taking it in turns to play like circus clowns. Some of their first choice players are starting to look past their sell by date.

West Ham have been moulded into a decent team since Soucek replaced Noble. In the centre of the park, and we haven’t looked back since.

The crowd has fuck all to do with anything.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
The reopening to 10k fans for one game only is a token effort by Boris. With just one game before the end of the season he knows he can kick this problem down the road until August and the new season.

Build back better. Lockdown - "never to be repeated" etc.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
Seems that a lot of people are missing the point that it's not that having the crowds back will make us worse, but that all the other teams will get better. Since we moved from Upton Park we have one of the least intimidating stadiums for away teams to come to, due to how far the fans are from the pitch, so with lockdown we haven't really lost much home advantage the way teams like Liverpool have.

We're also at an advantage in that, like Leicester, we now have a team of grafters who play for the team, not show ponies who feed off an audience.

We will see an inevitable decline in our league position when the lockdown is over but don't believe those who'll tell you it's the fans fault, because it won't be.

Has anyone said TOXIC yet?

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
Although you just know final day if we beat Soton we get Europe.........Soton will of had nothing to play for for 4 or 5 games and they will turn us over in our first game in front of fans for months. Its the West Ham way

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
I think Moyes and the new signings are far more of a reason we are 4th then no fans.

We have still been ropey at home for quite a few games this season......and been very good away, where our away support is easily amongst the best in the league.

I think our fans only ever get on the teams back when they see lack of quality or lack of effort......this season has had neither so if it continues i think fans returning will only help us

This is all about image (again). So the authorities can claim football kicked Covid's arse.

Better to carry on as is until it's save to fully open the stadiums to fans again.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
I love to think that we have the best fans in the league and it's true that I wouldn't swap them for another team's if I was dug in in the trenches. We've got some horrible cunts supporting the Irons and I absolutely love that. It makes for some brilliant away games

However, I have been in the lucky position where I have been able to speak to a few managers of other premier League teams and have seen a pattern in what they have said. Remember, when they have talked to me they have had no fear that their words would appear on telly or in the papers so they could be entirely honest as I am just some bloke they are stuck with for an hour

The pattern is that they say to their teams to keep it tight at the back for the first ten minutes as by then the West Ham crowd start to get on the backs of their own players. The other thing they say is that West Ham is traditionally a team with an above average set of players who are great with the ball at their feet but never really play as a team. On any given day only 3 players will be really up for it so in those first 10 minutes identify who those 3 players are and kick them out of the game.

Moyes has come up against us as an away manager on many occasions and knows exactly our weak spots and I truly believe that he's trying his hardest to address"the West Ham way'.

Long may it continue.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
10k fans for ONE home game, LOL, don't get too excited now. Euro's is fucked too, a summer tournament with low capacity's will be SHIT. Sad times.

Mike Oxsaw 3:51 Tue Feb 23
Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
How many of those fans let in will be recording the game "for prosperity" on their phone rather than actually watching the game live?

Manuel 2:54 Tue Feb 23
Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
Fucks sake, this AGAIN!

Yea you're right, we're all a bunch of cunts! Decades spent cunting off fans of Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Villa, etc, but now it's come to pass that's it's actually US who are the cunts. Who would have thunk it.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
I think with a few players on the verge of not legendary status, but key signings who have grit, passion, and graft , I think, Vladimír Coufal, Benrahma will buzz in front of good support. Lingard will appreciate the large crowds and big stadium feel. Fucking hell, Antonio will be buzzing to get back to live goal celebrations. Rice always looks cheery even in the bowl, another player that shines under pressure.

The Behind the scenes videos shows how much they are loving their football with closed doors. Winning how we have been will give nothing but added buzz.

I can`t see how 65,000 or however many back in, will dramatically change the work rate or our solid defensive shape, and proven work rate they have shown.

This has been a good period and maybe the behind closed games have bought them out their shell and away from politics and negative wankers abusing them. But Moyes has been tinkering and it seems now
this team whatever line up barring starting Noble, has the confidence to play in front of the West Ham faithful.

We are Massive................

Jasnik 9:30 Mon Feb 22

so when the fans go back they will be right behind this team as they see everyone grafting.

Re: Fans Return: Effect on team?
I think the near relegation last year really woke some players up. Also with the isolation the team have gel'd better than ever before also Moyes got rid of the prima donna's.
